Alexander Titus stops by The Ford Faction to share with us his thoughts on the latest news that Kim Jong-Un wants another summit with Trump and that President Trump’s sanctions on Iran are effectively weakening the regime’s leverage, our guest, Foreign Policy expert Alex Titus says the Trump administration’s approach of “slow and steady wins the race diplomacy” seems to be having a major impact on the denuclearization process in North Korea and on bringing Iran to the table. With the continued maximum pressure campaigns, the situation has largely deescalated and a positive path has been set forward. A second summit would be helpful as Trump and Kim having a working relationship not only contributes to the denuclearization process but gets us away from fiery rhetoric which could potentially lead to a large conflict. Additionally, the strain placed on Iran by sanctions will force them to the table for negotiations, something previously thought to be impossible.
